Splash Refresher Rebrand

Splash Blast and Fizz had a youthful, cartoonish identity and celebrity ambassador, T-Pain. Which is great if you are trying to sell soda, but Splash was actually a hydration beverage with zero sugar and zero calories. The consumers that really want a product like this, were walking right past it.

With sales slipping, we sought to discover where this brand could win – and how to get there. After months of research, the core audience became clear. The group some may call “the millennial mom,” became better known to us, as The Plain Water Rejector

Those who constantly hear that they need to drink more water, but the idea of drinking a full Stanley of plain water is frankly, a bridge too far. The monotony of being an adult is already a chore – why does hydration have to be so boring? With that clear and simple insight, we threw away what Splash was, and started over. 

Splash Refresher – It’s like water. But good.
